The Lexington Golf and County Club closed out its pool season by allowing dogs in the community to enjoy their very own pool time in the Rockbridge SPCA’s Dog Swim fundraiser Sunday. The no running rule didn’t apply as over 25 dogs of all sizes and breeds met new friends as they jumped in and out of the kiddy pool. “We appreciate LGCC’s decision to do this for the community and Elena Correa, events planner at the club, for organizing the event,” said Tara Rodi, SPCA executive director. “Along with many canned dog and cat food donation, we raised $350 that day to support the animals in the shelter.” (Stephanie Blevins photos)
