Horeb congregations on Sunday, Sept. 14 at the Nelson Hall Pavilion located at Lake Robertson. The Rev. Daniel Montague led the service. A covered-dish picnic and a time of fellowship followed the worship hour.
A weekly Bible study is being held at the Collierstown United Methodist Church on Tuesday nights at 7 and on Wednesday mornings at 10:30. Both groups, led by Pastor Daniel Montague, are studying the book of Exodus. Community members are invited to attend. The monthly men’s breakfast will be held at 9 on Saturday, Sept. 27, at the church.
A clean-up day will be held on Thursday, Oct. 9, in preparation for the 185th homecoming of the Collierstown United Methodist Church to be held on Sunday, Oct. 12, at 11 a.m. The day will include a covered-dish meal following the worship hour. The worship service will be a joint service with the Mt. Horeb United Methodist Church congregation.
The Collierstown Presbyterian Women will meet tomorrow, Thursday, Sept. 18, at 6:30 p.m. in the fellowship hall to make plans for a new year of service and support of Christian education. Initial plans for the church’s annual dinner on Saturday, Nov. 1, will be discussed. This year marks the 100th year of the event.
Homecoming Day at the Union View Advent Christian Church is set for Sunday, Sept. 28. The worship service will begin at 11 a.m. followed by a covered-dish luncheon.
