Rapps Church Homecoming This Sunday
Rapps Church will celebrate homecoming and Grandparents Day this Sunday, Sept. 7.
Sunday school for children will start at 10 a.m., followed by the worship service at 11 a.m. with Sam Light of the Church of the Brethren officiating.
A picnic will be held at 12:45 p.m. on the church grounds, weather permitting. Those attending can bring a lawn chair, their favorite covered dishes and beverages and join in the fellowship.
The church is located at 3255 South Buffalo Road.
Oronoco Sets
Homecoming
The Oronoco Church will be celebrating its 101st homecoming on Sunday, Sept. 14, beginning at 10:30 a.m.
Jonathan Bradley will be preaching and the Blevins Family will be providing special music. Following the service, there will be a carry-in meal.
The church is located in Amherst County on U.S. 60 east on the left shortly after passing entrance to the Blue Ridge Parkway.
Randolph Street
Yard Sale Slated
Randolph Street United Methodist Church will have an indoor yard sale Saturday, Sept. 6, from 8 a.m. to noon.
The yard sale will be in the downstairs fellowship hall at 118 S. Randolph St., Lexington. A ll p roceeds g o t o t he church.
