The city of Lexington will host an open-house public engagement meeting on Aug. 27 to get feedback from residents regarding the city’s comprehensive plan, which will soon be undergoing a required five-year review. The meeting will be held at the city school board office at 300 Diamond Street and will last from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
The meeting will feature multiple stations with different areas of focus for residents to give input on what the city has been doing since adopting the comprehensive plan in 2020 and what should be prioritized over the next five years. Topics covered at the stations will include housing, community services and infrastructure, transportation and land use. Comment cards will be available at each station for residents to provide specific feedback.
This is the first of three public input meetings that will be held on the city’s comprehensive plan. The other two meetings have not been scheduled yet.
