GREG DURHAM
GREG DURHAM
Gregory Ruff Durham, 73, of Lexington, passed away on Friday, Oct. 30, 2026.
He was born on Sept. 28, 1953, in Lexington, son of the late Broadus and Mae Donald Durham.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Dylan Durham, and brothers Donnie, Bobby, Ricky and Judd.
Gregory is survived by his daughter, Casey Durham; his stepdaughters, Fleur and Elisa; his grandchildren, Sylvia and Vayda Durham; and his siblings, Walter Lee, Laura, Linda and Deborah.
Greg was a carpenter by trait and a craftsman by heart. His inquisitive mind and eye for beauty guided him throughout his life. He could turn a seemingly obsolete object into a unique piece of art; from grapevines sculpted into an intricate treasure, a dilapidated house into a newly restored home and everything in between.
A sense of humor, Greg had it. His humor was clever; he found delight in scheming little pranks, singing quirky songs and seeing smiles on people’s faces. He found peace in nature; fishing, camping and spotting a morel mushroom from yards away.
He had an immense love for his family, a love that you could never doubt because of his consistent reassurance; he made sure to let you know he was proud. Greg will be deeply missed, but his spirit remains in our hearts.
A celebration of Gregory’s life will be announced and held at a later date, at his family’s cemetery.
