Alice Jarvis Mutispaugh, 64, of Buena Vista passed away on Oct. 24, 2026. 

Born Aug. 11, 1962, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Ruby Jarvis.

Also preceding her in death were her brothers, Steve and Greg Jarvis.

Alice's love for family and her home often centered around home-cooked meals that she had prepared. She found a lot of happiness and joy in laughing and enjoying the company of her son, daughter-in-law and her precious granddaughters. Alice worked in food service for many years. 

She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Carl D. Mutispaugh Jr.; son, Brandon Mutispaugh (Katie); granddaughters Lylah and Emmy Mutispaugh; sisters, Diane O'Bryant (John) of Buckingham, and Jane Swartz (Jeff) of Lexington; sister-in-law, Niki Coffen of Rockport, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews that she loved dearly. Additional special survivors include Thelma Lilly (Nanny),Pete and Martha Smith and their son Matthew.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 30, at Harrison Funeral Chapel by Dorsey Hostetter.  Burial will follow at Timber Ridge A.R. Presbyterian Church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour before the service.

She will be forever loved and never forgotten; she will continue to live on through the people she held closest while our hearts are broken by the loss.  We are grateful for the time we had with her, the memories we will carry, and our love for her will never fade.
