Charlie was born on Sept. 22, 1955, in Lexington to Charles Samual Hickman and the late Betty Ogden Hickman. He grew up in Buena Vista, where he spent his formative years.

Charlie is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Huffman Hickman, and his most loyal companion, his beloved dog, “Little Prissy.” He is also survived by his father, Charles Samual Hickman; his sister, Karen Conner (Chad Conner); his brother, David Hickman (Tammy); and his nephews, Michael Hickman (Brandy) and Andy Hickman (Sasha).

He also leaves behind his great-nieces and great-nephews: CeeJay Conner (Taylor), Casey Conner, Landon Hickman, Zoey Hickman, Raegan Hickman, Remington Hickman, Kimber Hickman, Oakleigh Hickman, and Everly Hickman.

Charlie’s surviving brothersand sisters-in-law include Joyce Huffman Montgomery and Eugene Huffman, as well as his nephew-in-law, Bobby Moore.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Ogden Hickman and his brother, Keith Hickman.

Charlie had a love for working on vehicles and painting them. He especially enjoyed spending time in his building, where he could work with his hands and do what he loved. These passions were an important part of who he was and the memories his loved ones will cherish.

Charlie will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew and loved him. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who shared in his life, his laughter, and the moments that made him special. NG
