Born May 20, 1951, in Lexington, she was a daughter of Clyde Keith Chittum and Pauline Bennington Chittum.

Myrna was a member of Bible Church at Rockbridge and retired as secretary for Rockbridge Mutual Fire Insurance. She loved her cats and enjoyed gardening.

Surviving are her husband, Dennis Wayne Johnston; two sons, Jonathan Johnston (Jacqueline) and David Johnston (Amber); brother; David Chittum; grandchild, Elias Johnston; and great-grandchildren Evelyn and Taylor.

A funeral was conducted Tuesday, Oct. 20, at Harrison Funeral Chapel by David Johnston. Burial followed at Broadcreek A.R. Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Carol’s Coats c/o Lauderdale ARP Church, 300 S. Main St., Lexington, VA 24450. Arrangements were by Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory. NG
