FRANCES SMITH

Frances Hope Smith, 89, of Lexington died Saturday, Oct. 3, 2026, at Shenandoah Health and Rehab.  Born Dec. 17, 1936, she was a daughter of Ed Martin and Nancy Rhudy Martin.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis P. Smith, and grandson, Tristan Hood.

Frances was a faithful servant of the Lord and she loved her family deeply.

Surviving are her children, Lisa Horne, Rebecca Denise Hood and Emily F. Avila-Gaytan; 10 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, seven great- great-grandchildren; and her brother, Russell Martin.

No memorial service is scheduled at this time.
