MYRNA JOHNSON 

Myrna Chittum Johnston, 75 of Lexington died Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2026, in VirginiaMedical Center.

Born May 20, 1951 in Lexington, she was a daughter of Clyde Keith Chittum and Pauline Bennington Chittum.

Myrna was a member of BibleChurch at Rockbridge and retired as secretary for Rockbridge Mutual Fire Insurance. She loved her cats and enjoyed gardening.

Surviving are her husband, Dennis Wayne Johnston; two sons, Jonathan Johnston (Jacqueline) and David Johnston(Amber); brother; David Chittum; grandchild, Elias Johnston; and great-grandchildren Evelyn and Taylor.

A service will be conducted at 2 pm. Tuesday, Oct. 20, at Harrison Funeral Chapel by David Johnston. Burial will follow at Broadcreek A.R.Presbyterian ChurchCemetery. Family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 19, at Harrison Funeral Home.
