Pamela Sue Reid Mayo, 75 of Lexington went home to her Lord and Savior Thursday, Oct. 8, 2026, at Shenandoah Health & Rehab.

Born Dec. 27, 1950, in Lexington, she was a daughter of the late Robert Lee Reid and Edith Virginia Robinson Reid.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother-in-law Charles Lewis (Tuna) Mayo.

Pamela was a member of Victory Baptist Church. She was a beautician for many years.

Surviving are her husband of 46 years, David Warren Mayo; sister, Carolyn Reid Bradley (Lawrence Palmer); sister-in-laws, Connie Beverly (Calvin), and Angela Hamilton; brother-in-laws, Carl E. Mayo and Gregory J. Mayo; nephew, Chason Wayne Bradley (Alisha); great-nephew, Chason Maddox Bradley; Jenni Martin who was like a daughter; special friend and caregiver Patsy Wines; and numerous cousins. 

The family would like to express sincere gratitude to CarilionRockbridge CommunityHospital, SVNH, and Hospice. 

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 15, at Harrison Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Dean Staton. Burial will follow at RockbridgeMemorial Gardens. Family will receive friends one hour before service.
