Marie Chatterton Wilson, 74, of Lexington, went to be with the Lord on Oct. 5, 2026.

Born Oct. 26, 1951, in New York, she was a daughter of the late LaVerne Francis Chatterton and Grace Bell Riley Jenkins.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Michael Lewis Wilson; daughter, Grace Mildred "Millie" Wilson; brother, Charles Joseph Chatterton; and sister, Doris Jane Chatterton.

Surviving are her brother-in-law, Steven Wilson; cousin Kendra Williams (Mike); nieces and nephews; Mark Floyd (Juanita), Lisa Lavender (late husband Daniel), Sheila Owens, Charles Chatterton Jr., Jeremy Chatterton (Carrie), Rachel Chatterton (Josh), and Rebekah Chatterton; great-nieces and nephews, Derek (Summer), Britney (Shaun), Crystal (Darrell), Jimmy, Cheyenne (Brandon), Jeffrey Jr., Malia, Jeremy Jr., Reba, Maverick, Ethan, Drake, Bruce, Angel, Trinity (Ben), Kierstyn, Felicity, Darrell Jr., Willow, Maci, Brentley, Sawyer, Brennan, and Kiara.

She had such a kind heart whose presence brought warmth and joy to those who knew her. She enjoyed the simple things in life, especially reading, cross-stitching, and beautiful plastic canvas crafts. She had a gentle spirit and a special love for all animals, especially her pets. She treasured the time she spent with her loved ones dearly.

Those who knew her will remember her for her caring nature and love she so freely gave to others. Her loved ones will forever cherish the memories they made with her and hold her close in their hearts.

She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 13, at Alleghany Memorial Park, Covington.
