James “Jimmy” Carroll Wallace, 78, of Glasgow, passed away Sunday, Sept. 27, 2026.

Born May 12, 1948, in Rockbridge County, he was a son of the late Carroll “Carl” Huffman Wallace and Pansy Mae Edwards Wallace.

Jimmy proudly served in the U. S. Air Force from February 1968 to February 1972, trained at Langley AFB in military police detail and then stationed at both Okinawa AFB and Minot, North Dakota.

He was also preceded in death by sisters Frances Wallace Ferguson and Helen Wallace Sensabaugh, and brother, Charles Wallace.

Surviving are his siblings, Leonard Wallace (Carolyn), Christine Wallace Bane, and Nancy Wallace Hamilton (Marion); special nephew, Kenny Wayne Thompson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1, at Mt. Zion Methodist Cemetery with Pastor Lewis Coffey officiating. 

There will be no visitation at the funeral home.

Arrangements are being handled by Bolling, Grose, & Lotts Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
