FLOYD HILL

Floyd Clifford Hill, 87, of Natural Bridge Station died Thursday, Sept. 10, 2026, at his home surrounded by family. 

Born May 18, 1939, he was a son of Floyd Lee Hill and Martha Austin Hill.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 32 years, Brenda Horsley Hill, and siblings Rita Hill, Oscar Hill, Leonard Hill and Wayne Hill.

Clifford worked at Natural Bridge Learning Center and retired after 27 years of service.

Surviving are his children, Wendy H. Strickland (David), Leslie H. Tolley (Jeff); five grandchildren, Clifford Chase Tolley, Bishop Tolley, Laura Brown (Timmy), Sharon "Pepper" Strickland (Carmie), Carie Austin Stickland Smoley (Phillip); five great-grandchildren, Tyler Mashburn, Cole Paige, Sage Smoley, Lincoln Smoley, Hayes Smoley; siblings, Elizabeth Jane Fifer, Mary Bondurant (Bill), Delmas Hill (Shirley), Danny Hill (Brenda); sister in law, Nellie Francis Hill; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15, at Harrison Funeral Chapel by Pastor Brian Sink. A private burial will follow at Hill Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
