Timothy Keith Wines, 69, of Rockbridge Baths, died Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2026, at Carilion Rockbridge CommunityHospital.

Born Feb. 14, 1957, he was a son of the late Odie Keith Wines (Dude) and Mayme Higgins Wines.

Also preceding him in death was his precious canine companion Daisy.

Tim was the first male telephone operator in the Lexington/Rockbridge County area. Then he switched to a banking career for 50 years, retiring from Carter Bank and Trust in 2021.  He never met a stranger and was the best brother, uncle, and friend anyone could ever have.

Surviving are his sister, Deborah Wines Plogger; nephews, Jeremy Keith Brown (Lisa Humphries), and Joshua Plogger; great-nephews, Samuel, Elliot and Mattix Brown; and Godson, Joe Crouch (Kurt Engleman).

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8, at Harrison Funeral Home by Dorsey Hostetter.  Burial will follow at Ebenezer A.R. PresbyterianChurch Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
