Timothy Keith Wines, 69, of Rockbridge Baths died Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2026, at Carilion Rockbridge Community Hospital.  

Born Feb. 14, 1957, he was a son of Odie Keith Wines (Dude) and Mayme Higgins Wines.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his precious canine companion, Daisy.

Tim was the first male telephone operator in the Lexington/Rockbridge County area. Then he switched to a banking career for 50 years, retiring from Carter Bank and Trust in 2021.  He never met a stranger and was the best brother, uncle, and friend anyone could ever have.

Surviving are his sister, Deborah Wines Plogger; nephews, Jeremy Keith Brown (Lisa Humphries), Joshua Plogger; great-nephews, Samuel, Elliot and Mattix Brown; and Godson, Joe Crouch (Kurt Engleman).

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8, at Harrison Funeral Home by Dorsey Hostetter. Burial will follow at Ebenezer A.R. Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
