Benonia Virginia Humphreys, 73, of Buena Vista passed away, Friday, Aug. 28, 2026.

Born Nov. 29, 1952, in Nelson County, she was the daughter of the late Loyd Bradley Sr. and Mildred Fitzgerald Bradley. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Swanson Humphreys.

Surviving are her children, Robert Swanson Humphreys Jr. (Connie), Benonia “Cathy” Humphreys (Billy), Sharon Humphreys (Michael), Karen Humphreys Bane (Darrell), Jason Lewis Humphreys (Gina) and Matthew Joshua Humphreys (Amber); numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers, Loyd Bradley Jr., Kenny Bradley, Malcolm Bradley and Gary Bradley; and sisters, Margaret Chittum, Becky Hunt and Jennifer Moore. 

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel by Brother Dorsey Hostetter. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. 

Family will receive friends 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 1, at Bolling, Grose and Lotts Funeral Home.
