CHARLES PORTERFIELD 

Charles Allen Porterfield, 75, of Brownsburg died Wednesday, Aug. 19, at Staunton Post Acute & Rehab. 

Born in Lexington on Aug. 29, 1950, he was a son of Charles Richard Porterfield and Frances Virginia Craney Porterfield.

Charles was a member of the Asbury UnitedMethodist Church and an installer for Rockbridge Glass & Mirror.

Surviving are his children, Danielle Nicole Porterfield and Mark Allen Porterfield; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; siblings, Gwendolyn Porterfield, Frances Land (Stan), Kenneth Porterfield (Sandy) and Agnes Porterfield.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 27, at Harrison Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Lucy Hughes.  Burial will follow at Asbury UnitedMethodist ChurchCemetery in Brownsburg.  There will be a repass after the burial. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
