He was born April 28, 1933, in Rockbridge County a son of William Valvue Knick and Gertie Bell Hostetter.

In addition to his prents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Rhonda Chaplin.

Blair served in the U S Army and retired after many years of trucking. He was a member of Calvary Brethren Church.

Surviving are his wife of 70 years, Hollis Collins Knick; children, Jerry Knick (Debbie), Timmy Knick (Linda), Harold Knick (Susie), Jeff Knick (Connie) and Dyron Knick; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. tomorrow, Thursday, Aug. 6, at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel by Pastor Terry Bostic. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery.

Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Special thanks are extended to the staff of Shenandoah Valley Health & Rehab Center.
