James Junior Walters, 84, of Rockbridge Baths, died Sunday, Aug. 3, 2026, at 1 p.m. at his home. 

Born May 27, 1942, in Brownsburg, he was a son of the late James Harlow and Margaret Walters.

Also preceding him in death were his son, Timothy Eugene Walters; and brothers, Carl and Donnie Walters.

Surviving are his son, James Daryl Walters; grandchildren, Terra, Ashley and Leigh; and siblings, Bobby Walters, Buzzy Walters, Jo Ann Southers and Nellie Cales.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 5, at McElwee ChapelCemetery with Dorsey Hostetter officiating.
