Bonnie was born on July 13, 1956, in Lexington. She was a daughter of Grier Franklin Plogger and Virginia Beverley Wright. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Freddie Plogger.

Bonnie worked for many years at Washington and Lee University and Walmart as a cook. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church.

Bonnie is survived by her husband of 49 years, Danny Austin of Natural Bridge Station; a daughter, Melody Austin; a son, Scottie Plogger of Natural Bridge Station, one grandson, Jayden Austin; and three sisters, Bea Ruley, Gloria Nuckols and Kay Leslie.

There will be a memorial service to celebrate her life at Faith Baptist Church, 15 Faith Baptist Circle, on Saturday, July 18, at 2 p.m.
