DONALD SLOUGH

He was born May 10, 1946, in London, England, to the late Kenneth Slough and Winifred “Winnie” Cameron Slough.
Donald retired from Mohawk Industries after many years of service. He enjoyed riding across the mountain, fishing, hunting and listening to bluegrass music. He loved planting a garden, which this enjoyment was passed on to his grandson, Justin. He also liked watching NASCAR, football and making his famous Super Bowl dip.
Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Gloria Slough; daughter, Donna Morris and husband, David; a special papaw to grandson, Justin East and wife Tiffany; and step-grandsons, Charlie and Jeff; sisters, Jean Armstrong and Brenda Reaver (Rick); and one niece and two nephews.
A funeral service was conducted Tuesday, July 7, at Buena Vista Pentecostal Holiness Church by the Rev. Adam Williams. Burial followed at Rockbridge Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Buena Vista Pentecostal Holiness Church or ConnectionsPlus Healthcare + Hospice. The family extends their sincere thanks to the entire Hospice staff especially Carla Dobbs.
