She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Gattas; brother, Nicholas H. Coxon III; and stepdaughter, Deborah Gattas.

She is survived by her sister, Elaine C. Santore of Afton, Minn.; sister-in-law, Robyn L. Coxon of Pittsburgh, Pa.; stepson, Christopher (Tracie) Gattas of Dunedin, Fla.; grandchild, Phillip (Amber) Gattas; and great-grandchild, Augustus Gattas of Dunedin, Fla., in addition to several nieces and nephews.

She is remembered as a devoted wife, loving sister, stepmother, and aunt — a woman of deep faith whose life was shaped by the United Methodist Church, the joy of travel, and the quiet beauty she found in the Shenandoah Valley, the skies of Florida, and the woods of Cook Forest, Pennsylvania.

A celebration of life will be held on Aug. 18 at 11 a.m. at Fairfield United Methodist Church. NG
