MARGOKYLE

Born on June 12, 1937, in Lexington, Margo was the cherished daughter of Frank and Verneta Woodley. Her life was a testament to unwavering faith, unconditional love, and unyielding strength.
Margo was predeceased by her husband, William S. Kyle. Together, they nurtured a family that was the center of Margo’s world. She also joins in eternal rest her dear daughter, Cherie K. Davis; her brothers, William Mays, James Mays, Edward Mays and Frank Woodley; and her treasured grandchildren, Miesha Davis and Howard Davis.
A pillar of strength, Margo’s life was a continuous reflection of her deep faith and love for her family and community. She was a long-standing member of the Randolph Street United Methodist Church. In addition, Margo happily volunteered her time with organizations such as Threshold, Habitat for Humanity and the Lylburn Downing Alumni Association.
Margo leaves behind a legacy of love in her surviving family: her devoted children, daughter Twalla Vanessa Oliver, sons William Robert Kyle Sr. and Laurence Edward Kyle Sr. and daughter-in-law Lori Johnson Kyle, who continue to embody her teachings of kindness and resilience. Her love and wisdom also live on in her six grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren, each a testament to her nurturing spirit and loving heart. She is also remembered fondly by her sister-in-law, Brenda Woodley, along with a host of nieces and nephews who she cherished.
The family honored Margo’s extraordinary life with a celebration service on June 15 at the Randolph Street United Methodist Church.
Leona Margo Mays Kyle, a beacon of faith and a testament to love’s enduring power, will be dearly missed, but her spirit will continue to guide and inspire those she leaves behind. She taught us all how to live with grace and love, and for that, we are eternally grateful. May she rest in peace, embraced by the love of those who have gone before her.
