Marjorie Campbell Beard, 88, of Lexington died Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at her home.

She was born Sept. 26, 1937, a daughter of Roy McKinley Campbell and Dorothy McCullough Campbell.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James M. Beard, and siblings Maynard Reynolds, Betty Powell, Faye Sorrels and Linda Fainter.

Marjorie was a faithful member of Faith Baptist Church and was retired from Burlington Industries.

Surviving are her sibling, Laura Powell; nieces and nephews Johnnie Powell (Peggy), Janice Downey, Angela Yurachek, Kelly Reynolds (Susan), Lisa Bolen and Greg Fainter (Teresa); special great-nephew, Lucas Bolen; numerous greatnieces and great-nephews; and a special friend, Bill Wilson.

The funeral was conducted yesterday, Tuesday, June 9, at Faith Baptist Church in Natural Bridge Station by the Rev. Terry Bostic and the Rev. David Bain. Burial followed at Rockbridge Memorial Gardens.
