MARJORIE BEARD

Marjorie Campbell Beard, 88, of Lexington died Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at her home. 

She was born Sept. 26, 1937, a daughter of Roy McKinley Campbell and Dorothy McCullough Campbell.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death are her husband, James M. Beard, and siblings Maynard Reynolds, Betty Powell, Faye Sorrels and Linda Fainter.

Marjorie was a faithful member of Faith Baptist Church and was retired from Burlington Industries.

Surviving are her sibling, Laura Powell; nieces and nephews Johnnie Powell (Peggy), Janice Downey, Angela Yurachek, Kelly Reynolds (Susan), Lisa Bolen and Greg Fainter (Teresa); special great-nephew, Lucas Bolen; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews; and a special friend,  Bill Wilson.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 9, at Faith Baptist Church in Natural Bridge Station by the Rev. Terry Bostic and the Rev. David Bain. Burial will follow at Rockbridge Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, June 8, at Harrison Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions may be made to Faith Baptist Church (15 Faith Baptist Circle, Natural Bridge Station, VA 24579)
