He was born on Dec. 21, 1937, in Rockbridge County.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jefferson D. Breeden; his mother, Mary M. Breeden; his loving wife of 67 years, Irene Virginia Breeden; and his grandson, Dustin E. Breeden.

Surviving are his three sons, Daniel Breeden (Pamela), Dale Breeden (Regina) and Darryl Breeden (Judy); grandchildren, Joshua Breeden (Holly), Brooke Breeden, Hunter Breeden (Samantha) and Dakota Breeden; his three great-grandchildren; and two beloved fur babies.

Wilfert was a hard working and loving husband and father.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
