GARY CASH

Gary Lee Cash, 71, of Buena Vista departed this life peacefully at his home May 29, 2026. 

He was born Jan. 29, 1955, in Lexington a son of Larry D. Cash and Emma Gilbert Cash.

Gary graduated Parry McCluerHigh School in 1973. He attended VirginiaCollege for Electronics. Gary worked as an electrician and general contractor; a correctional officer at AugustaCorrectional Center and Facility Technician at Rockbridge Community Service Board. Gary enjoyed golf, pool and was a talented musician.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mamie and Frank Gilbert and Shawn Luciano.

Surviving is the love of his life, Patricia Luciano; sister, Joy Nielson and husband, Peter; niece, Ashley Klise and husband Beau, and their beautiful girls, Zoie, Alexis, Abigail and Brittlin; his extended family, Jeffrey Luciano, Diane Komonce and husband Dave; his grandchildren Danielle Komonce, Christina Komonce, Sierra Luciano, Carrina Luciano, Maro Davis, Brenna Harris and Joey Luciano; great-grandchildren Ella and Mattie, the light of his life, Charlotte, Olivia, Atticus and Brandon. 

Gary will be missed by all.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 2, at Green Hill Cemetery by the Rev. David Bain.
