TIMMY BUTNER
TIMMY BUTNER
He was born March 11, 1963, in Lexington to the late Frank and Evelyn Claytor Butner.
He graduated from Parry Mc-Cluer High School in 1981. He started working with his dad at their local automotive business while in high school, and took over the business upon his dad‘s retirement. He was still somewhat involved with the garage up until the day that he passed away.
Before his health declined he was known for his love of NASCAR, fishing, bowling, and just getting together. He loved to go get a steak and a beer on occasion. He had an infectious smile and an easy laugh.
He is survived by his wife, Katrina Butner and their herd of cats. He loved having the cats be with him during the day; they were his constant companions. He’s also survived by his brother, Lynwood Butner and his wife, Beth; nephews, Jonathan Butner, Clay Butner and his wife Jennifer and their three children.
The family would like to thank Chris Tolley Sr. for working the garage and for his overall help, along with Carolyn Holtman, who was always available to help with some of Tim’s medical needs. You both are so very much appreciated for the love and support you offered Tim.
A funeral was conducted Thursday, May 7, at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Blake Reese officiating. Burial followed at Green Hill Cemetery.
Arrangements were handled by Bolling, Grose, & Lotts Funeral Home and Cremation Services. NG
