EDNA CHITTUM 

Edna Roberta Gillespie Chittum, 89, of Buena Vista passed away Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Shenandoah Valley Health & Rehab.

She was born April 9, 1937, in Rockbridge County to the late Robert S. Gillespie and Mary McDougall.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Frank Earl Chittum.

She retired from the Burlington Industries.

Surviving are her four children, Steve Chittum (Sharon), Cathy Hamilton, Tim Chittum and Sherry Melville (David); grandchildren, Jason, Ashley, Allison (Randy), and Emily (James); and a host of great-grandchildren.

The graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 19, at Green Hill Cemetery.

Arrangements are being handled by Bolling, Grose, & Lotts Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
