Born Dec. 17, 1952, in Lexington, she was a daughter of Andrew Wilson Wilhelm and Martha Robertson Wilhelm.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Robert W. Hayes Jr.

Teresa was a member of Mc-Cutchen Presbyterian Church and in earlier years worked at Modine manufacturing.

Surviving are her husband, Robert W. Hayes Sr.; son, David Giese of Stuarts Draft; grandchildren, Lucas Giese of Staunton, Olivia Giese of Stuarts Draft and Wyatt Hayes of Stuarts Draft; siblings, Karen Wilhelm of Roanoke, Sandra Campbell of Craigsville and A.W. Wilhelm of Buena Vista; and a special lifelong friend, Eva Huffman.

At Teresa’s request, there will be no funeral service.
