Born May 21, 1941, in Lexington, she was a daughter of Phillip A Lee Sr. and Odessa G. Lee.

She graduated from Lylburn Downing High School and attended the University of Pittsburg and received a bachelor of science degree in nursing. She joined the U.S. Navy and served 26 years of active duty service before retiring to Orlando, Fla., as a captain.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two brothers, Harry and Roy Lee, and sister Linda Lee.

Surviving are her brothers, Phillip Lee Jr., Charles Lee Sr., and Richard Lee; sister Priscilla Lee.

Elaine lived in Raleigh, N.C., before her death. She will have a private burial at Evergreen Cemetery in Lexington.
