MOE DEFINO
MOE DEFINO

He was born July 22, 1961, in Baltimore, Md., the son of Dominic and Joan Defino. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Bobby and Tony, and his sister Joan Marie.
Over the past several years, Moe faced more than his share of illnesses and injuries, but he never stopped fighting. Through it all, he had the constant love and support of Valinda Newman by his side.
He is survived by his sons, Dominic Defino and his wife Andrea, and Matthew Defino and his wife Leanne, along with their children, David and Ava, who knew and loved him as “Pop Pop.” When Moe moved to West Virginia, he didn’t just change locations, he gained a whole family. He was loved by many kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids who became his own, along with his very best friend, Ryden. He also leaves behind many close friends, especially C.S Fitzgerald and David Fitzgerald, as well as countless others he met over the years in the racetrack community.
Moe will always be remembered for his deep love of dirt track racing. It wasn’t just something he enjoyed, it was who he was. Whether he was watching a race, building or working on cars, helping at the track, or just talking about it for hours, that passion never left him.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
