Roy Lee Vest Sr., 77, of Buena Vista passed away Friday, April 24, 2026. 

He was born May 27, 1948, in Lexington, the son of Roy Coleman Vest and Myrtle Neice Vest.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Donna Marie Vest Rivera; his son, Roy Lee Vest Jr.; and sister, Betty Rhodes. 

Surviving is his grandson, Thomas Rivera, and brother-in-law, Pete Rhodes. 

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, May 8, at Green Hill Cemetery by Pastor Blake Reese and Stephanie Rhodes. 

Arrangements are being handled by Bolling, Grose, & Lotts Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
