She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, James C. Ryan, in 2016. She was also preceded in death by her parents, John William Weeks and Erdice Aaron Plogger Weeks, and brothers H.P., Henry, Wade, Fred and Harry Weeks and sister Dorothy Weeks Jones.

She is survived by her daughters, Donna R. Norfleet (Carlisle Robertson), Susan Ryan and Julie R. Bew (Kerry Sweatt) of Chesterfield; five grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; many beloved nieces, nephews and extended family.

She grew up in Rockbridge Baths, graduated from Brownsburg High School, and attended business school in Lynchburg. She raised her family in Lynchburg, Roanoke and Richmond, and retired with her husband to Fairfield in 1982. There, they were members of Bethesda Presbyterian Church. In 2022 after the death of her husband, health concerns took her to Commonwealth Senior Living of Chesterfield.

A private celebration of life will be held by the family in Fairfield.
