LARRY OWENS
Larry James Owens, 76, of Glasgow died Saturday, April 4, 2026, in Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
Born Feb. 15, 1950, in White Sulphur Springs, W.Va., he was a son of John Willard Owens and Grace Parker Berry Owens. He attended Alleghany High School.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Jo Ellen Smith and Mary Corker, and father and mother in law, Harry and Elizabeth Pendleton.
Larry was an Army veteran. He held memberships with Natural Bridge Ruritan Club and Glasgow First Aid. Larry cut grass for many neighbors and friends. He also kept Glasgow and Sallings Mountain Road clean by picking up trash frequently.
Surviving are his wife of 41 years, Barbara Owens; children, Jason Belcher of Glasgow and Dana Morgan of Richmond; grandchildren, Cheyenne Belcher, Blake Fitzgerald, Jason Mawyer, Kasey Mawyer and Cody Mawyer; five great-grandchildren; siblings John Owens (Linda) of Roanoke, Don Owens (Joyce) of Covington, Sandy Craft (Melvin) of Lewisburg, W.Va., Anise Richmond of Covington, Rita Hobbs of Lynchburg, Anne Owens (Kaye) of Baltimore, Md., and Tina Owens (Melody) of Harrisonburg; brothers-in-law, Harry Pendleton Jr. of North Carolina and Raymond Pendleton (Lynn) of Clifton Forge; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
All services will be private.
