Mary Louise Cerreto Markey, 92, of Lexington, died March 23, 2026, at AVIVA Baldwin Park in Staunton. 

Born Dec. 23, 1933, she was a daughter of the late John Cerreto and Catherine Piazza Cerreto.

Also preceding her in death was her husband, James L. Markey.

Mary has lived with joy, compassion, and a general interest in making friends and sharing funny stories with whomever she me. She will be remembered by all that knew her.

Surviving are her sons, Derek Markey and Neil Markey (Kristine); and grandchildren, Aiden, Collin, Gavin and Kieran.

No service is planned at this time.
