CHRISTOPHER IRVINE

CHRISTOPHER IRVINE

Christopher Lewis Irvine, 65, of Roanoke passed away peacefully on March 30, 2026, surrounded by his family. Chris spent his final weeks battling Interstitial Lung Disease.

He was born in Lexington on July 15, 1960, to Pete and Erma Irvine. Chris was a graduate of Radford University, class of 1984. He went on to build a successful career as an owner and operator of Irvine Access Floors Inc. Chris was an avid businessman and entrepreneur who tirelessly pursued each new endeavor with determination, always striving to build a legacy for his family.

Chris’s greatest joy was his family. His generosity and steady presence made him a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother.

Chris is survived by his loving wife, Marty Irvine; his twin brother, Carson Irvine (Virginia); and his older brothers, Butch Irvine (Martha) and Mike Irvine (Kitty). He is also survived by his close cousins, Charlie Irvine (Colleen) and James Clark (Nancy), who were like brothers to him. Chris is survived by his three children, Andrew Irvine (Laura), Kristin Ray (Alex) and Brian Irvine (Hannah); and by his beloved grandchildren, Charlotte, Walker, Reagan and West, who brought him endless pride and joy.

Chris found peace and happiness outdoors. He spent the better part of his life hunting in the Blue Ridge Mountains, often venturing out West with close family and friends. Hunting elk in Montana holds a special place in Chris’ heart where he valued the quiet moments and traditions that came with it. Chris also cherished spending his summer weekends at Smith Mountain Lake.

Chris and Marty poured their heart into raising their three children, teaching them the values that shaped their own life — hard work, selflessness and loyalty. Chris led by example, showing them what it meant to be dependable and deeply devoted to the people you love. His greatest pride was watching Andrew, Kristin, and Brian grow into the adults they are today, each carrying a piece of his strength and spirit. Chris will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

A visitation will be held at Cave Spring Baptist Church in Roanoke at noon on Good Friday, April 3, followed by a service at 1 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation or a charity of your choice. Condolences may be shared with his family by visiting www.Oakeys.com.

Arrangements were entrusted to Oakey’s Funeral Service South Chapel, Roanoke, (540) 989-3131. NG
