Jason Douglas Howard, 47, originally of Roanoke, died Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2026. 

Born Jan. 4, 1979, he was a son of Maxine Craney and late Henry D. Howard.

Jason grew up in Roanoke and graduated from PatrickHenry High School. He spent many summers in Lexington. He later moved to Lexington and was employed by Macados Restaurant for 11 years. Jason loved cooking on the grill, watching the kids splash around in the pool and spending time with family and friends.

Those left to mourn his loss are his mother, Maxine Craney; son Jesan Henderson; daughters Keziah and Jaeci Howard; and very special friend Latisha Johnson. Others left to mourn are cousin Brandon Craney; aunts and uncles; his Wolfpack brothers and furry friend Sunshine

A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, March 6, at Harrison Funeral Home.
