He was preceded in death by parents Roy Clinton “Mutt” Mundy and Ethel Charlene Nuckoles Mundy; sister and brotherin- law, Barbara and Sonny Spangler; brother, Tommy Mundy; and sister, Charlene Reynolds.

Jimmy worked at Blue Ridge Transfer and the Roanoke Cement Plant as an equipment operator. His hobbies included Harley Davidson motorcycles and playing golf. Jimmy also loved Myrtle Beach, the seafood that went along with it, and banana splits.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Sharon Mundy; children, Veronica Sue Lenherr and husband Michael, Jimmy Clinton Mundy Jr. and wife Wendi, and Amanda Leigh Thornhill and husband Jason; siblings, Lynda Miller and special friend Joe Clemmer, and Frank Mundy and wife Linda; special brother-in-law, Bernie Reynolds; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

A memorial gathering was held Sunday, Feb. 22, in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home.
