She was born Aug. 3, 1946, in Goshen, the daughter of the late Clarence Alfred Hostetter and Mary Elizabeth Smith Hostetter.

Gladys is survived by her children, Alfred (Chrissy) Sensabaugh of Fairfield, Alvin (Joy) Sensabaugh of Natural Bridge Station, and Michael (Natasha) Sensabaugh of Fairfield; her sister, Helen Wilhelm of Goshen; three grandchildren, Cody (Mariah) Sensabaugh of Fairfield, Nicole (Cody) Burke of Fairfield, and Freddy Sensabaugh of Natural Bridge Station; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Clifton; her brothers, Albert Hostetter, Carl Hostetter, Wallace Hostetter and Wilson Hostetter; her sisters, Irene Bane, Nettie Holbert, Ruth Kirby, Alene Oberton and Isabelle Thompson; and her grandson, Anthony Sensabaugh.

A celebration of life will take place in the spring.
