Clinton Dorey, 84, of Buena Vista died Sunday, Feb. 15, 2026, at his home. Born Jan. 26, 1942, he was a son of the late James Tinsley Hamilton and Blanche Vint Dorey. Also preceding him in death were his son, Christopher Brad Dorey; special friend Wanda Watkins; and his siblings Aubrey Dorey (Stella), Alfred Dorey (Regina), Maywell Dorey (Marie), Dewey Dorey, Flossie Henson, Pauline Spicher (Delbert), and Yonnie Dorey (Marina). Clinton was retired from Georgia Pacific Bonded Fibers. Surviving are his children Jeff Dorey (Lori), and Teresa Tomlin (Jeff); four grandchildren, Jonathan Humphreys (Becky), Justin Leech (Destiny), Amber Smith (Dylan), and Morgan Vest (Andrew); eight great-grandchildren and one on the way; siblings, Eva Conner, Joseph Dorey (Linda), and Clemmie Jenkins; 12 nephews and 12 nieces. A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 19, at Harrison Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Jimmy Laughlin. Burial is private. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 18, at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory.
