Phyllis Sorrells Tyree, 82, of Clifton Forge, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2026, at the Woodland Health and RehabCenter.

Born on Sept. 10, 1943, in Amherst County, she was the daughter of the late Andy Sorrells and Ammie Burch Sorrells. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Edward Tyree, and sister, Darlene Staton.

She is survived by her four children, Glenn Tyree and wife Angie, Jeanne Davis and husband Kevin, Eric Tyree and wife Kelly, and Kathy Tyree; six grandchildren, Allison Tyree, Scott Tyree, Josh Tyree, Lindsey Tyree, Alex Davis and Elizabeth Davis; sister, Brenda Straub; brothers, Lester Sorrells and Andrew Sorrells; and many nieces and nephews. 

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 17, at GreenHill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 16, at Bolling, Grose, & Lotts Funeral Home.
