LOIS AYERS

Lois Tomlin Ayers

Lois Tomlin Ayers, 74, of Lexington left for her heavenly home on Feb. 4, 2026, surrounded by her family.

Lois was born April 16, 1951, in Amherst County to Phinia Steven Tomlin Sr. and Annie Kerr Tomlin.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by special friend, Sheila Lineberry.

Lois was the heart of her family.  She showed kindness to all. Her love for family was at the center of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with those she loved.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Ronald Ayers; her beloved daughter, Nikki Rush; and her treasured grandchildren, Lyric Rush and Jonas Rush (Alyssia).  She was a proud great-grandmother to Sterling Rush.  She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Sandra Rhodes.  Lois is also survived by her siblings, John Tomlin (Janet), Donnie Tomlin (Annina), Steve Tomlin (Corinna), Philip Tomlin (Bendi), Mary Tomlin, Bonnie Tomlin and kids, Deanna Tomlin (Adam) and Rose Keesee, as well as her stepmother, Nettie Tomlin.  She also leaves behind many special aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and dear friends.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 12, at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Arnold Bradley and the Rev. Dean Staton. Burial will follow at Rockbridge Memorial Gardens.
