ANNIE TUNING

Mrs. Tuning was born in Bath County on March 6, 1941, daughter of William Horton Black and Lottie (Hinton) Black.
Annie was a member of Stonewall United Methodist Church and also attended Jerusalem Chapel. She was the co-owner and operator of Tuning’s Furniture Store and found great joy in reading, cooking — especially preparing cherished holiday and family meals —and spending time with her family, particularly her beloved grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Tuning was preceded in death by a son, Terry Bryan Tuning; a daughter-inlaw, Cindy (Balser) Tuning; and a niece, Kathy Harris.
Surviving, are two sons, William H. Tuning and his wife Tonya of Churchville, and Glenn F. Tuning; a sister, Myrtle Marie (Black) Marshall; a special niece, Kristie Moyers; six grandchildren, Bryan Tuning, Bill Tuning, Julie Short and her husband Ricky, Jessica Trahan and her husband Gavin, Sonya Harmon and her husband Tommy, and Madison Short; and six greatgrandchildren, Landon Trahan, Evelyn Harmon, Maya Harmon, Thomas Harmon and Lyva Short.
A celebration of life was held Monday, Jan. 19, in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Pastors Tim Thomas and George Etling.
Burial followed in Thornrose Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Bryan Tuning, Bill Tuning, Wayne Marshall, Gavin Trahan, Ricky Short, Greg Tuning, Tommy Harmon and Eddie Moyers.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory in Staunton was in charge of her arrangements.
