BILL CAMDEN

BILL CAMDEN

BILL CAMDEN

William Harman Camden was born Jan. 31, 1934, in Natural Bridge; he passed away Dec. 16, 2025, at the Kendal nursing home.

William grew up in Natural Bridge and graduated from Natural Bridge High School.

He joined the Marines after graduating but had to leave early due to his father’s death and to take care of his mother.

He had a sister, Nancy Camden, who preceded him in death, and several nieces and nephews.  Bill, as most called him, was married twice and had three daughters.

Bill was an avid hunter, horseback and motorcycle rider.

He worked for the local Centel Telephone company as district manager for 35 years until he retired at the young age of 55.

Bill always liked a good joke and loved being surrounded by his family and friends.

Bill leaves behind two daughters, Janet Camden Woody and Courtney Camden.  Bill also left behind several grandchildren that he grew to know and love. All called him “Pawpaw Bill.”

Bill was not about fancy things and wanted to always keep things simple. So, he asked that he be buried with his sister and mother at the Falling Spring Presbyterian Church. There will be a memorial service in early spring of 2026.

If anyone wants to contribute in Bill’s honor, we ask that you give your contribution to the local children’s charity Unity4Kids by contacting Tammy Reid at (540) 784-2659.
