Born May 15, 1936, he was a son of the late John James Delany Sr. and Geneva Janes Delany.

Also preceding him in death were his wife, Frances Edith Waters Delany; and daughter, Dawn Elizabeth Delany.

He was a member of Redeeming Life Ministries and a retired stock broker with Wells Fargo.

Surviving are his children, James L. Potter, Bobby Ray Potter and John J. Delany III; eight grandchildren; many greatchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and siblings Stephanie Samper and Rita Chambers.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 29, at Oak Grove Cemetery by the Rev. James Potter.

Arrangements are by Harrison Funeral Home and Crematory.
