Born June 26, 1945, he was a son of the late Joseph Walter Mabry and Wayne Elizabeth Paxton Mabry.

Also preceding him in death were his wife, Donna Marshall Mabry; and brother, Randall William Mabry.

Bert was in the U.S. Air Force and served in Thailand during Vietnam War. He graduated from Danville Community College and was an owner of a local business, Rockbridge Auto Parts. Bert also was a member of Lexington Golf & Country Club where he served as president.

Surviving are his son, Jonathan Wyatt Mabry; sister, Nancy Mabry Christianson; sister-inlaw Wanda Van Ness Mabry; six nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 18, at Harrison Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Skyler Daniel. Burial will be private. Arrangements are by Harrison Funeral Home and Crematory.

HOWARD DAVIS II

Howard Mitchell Davis II, 44, of Carollton, Va., died Sunday, Dec. 9, 2025, at Riverside Regional Medical Center.

Born May 8, 1981, in Germany, he was a son of Howard M. Davis Sr. and the late Cherie M. Davis.

He is survived by niece and nephews Alexis M. Watson, Carlos D. Davis-Wynne, Deonte N. Davis, Javeonm K. Davis and Izayah T. Lee; and great-nieces and nephew Ava’Naomi D. Smith, Nevaeh D. Wynne and Nymir D. Wynne.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 18, at Harrison Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be one hour before the service.

Arrangements are by Harrison Funeral Home and Crematory.
