She was born in Beijing, China, on April 6, 1962.

She is survived by one daughter, Yuchen, and by her loving husband, Mark Quick.

Jin loved the Blue Ridge Parkway in the fall, and on Nov. 2 of this year, she was able to view the fall colors on the Parkway one last time.

A private memorial service will be held on a later date.
