Charles C. Hollingsworth, age 71, of Glasgow passed away on Nov. 22, 2025, while in acute care in Lynchburg, after succumbing to injuries sustained from a fall at home two months prior. 

Charles was born in Germany to parents Carl Clinton Hollingsworth and Kaethe Marie Hollingsworth (Buchholz). An Army relocation brought the family to Fort Bliss, Texas, where he graduated from ParklandHigh School in El Paso.

Charles joined the Navy after high school, followed by a decades-long career at Walsh Tops in Chesapeake, until early retirement. Chuck enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being in the mountains of Virginia.

He was a loving and supportive father to his two children, Derek Clinton Hollingsworth and Dana Rae Engelhard. Charles is also survived by his former wife of 24 years, Rhona Lynne Price, and six grandchildren, ages 4 months to 14 years. 

Chuck will be sorely missed by his family and his dear friends. 

A celebration of life will be held in the upcoming spring.
